Whether tearing up colorful tissue paper and gluing it onto lampshades or sketching, Cherie has always had the need to create using her hands. Macrame, clay, stained glass, sewing, beading jewelry and paper mache have always been favorites for her - 'getting' her hands into her art.

Now, with Graphic Tablet Pen in hand, Cherie strives to create unique and original designs in a wide variety of subjects for online POD (Print On Demand) sites. The subjects are limitless. With so many of the online sites offering a great array of products, there is no shortage of ideas for creating.

Artist Statement: 'Creating illustrations for a wide variety of products such as T- Shirts, keepsake boxes, coffee mugs, postage stamps, even pillows, well the mind just fills up so fast! It's hard to know where to start some days! I just let my mind wander and soon, I'm creating and it all works out fine...although some days I feel as though I can't stop!

I try to put my heart into everything I create, hoping that the person who purchases my art will love it from the heart. I could mass produce clip art or use images from the internet, but that's just not me. I create my art from my heart, and hopefully, amidst all that I've done, it shows.'
